About Omid

Omid Zivari earned his Bachelor of Arts (BA) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and his Master of Science (MS) in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University. Omid completed his clinical education at Columbia University Medical Center’s Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU). In returning to his native Los Angeles, he worked at California Rehabilitation Institute (CRI), in partnership with UCLA and Cedar-Sinai Medical Center (CSMC), where he primarily served as a senior clinical therapist on the stroke rehabilitation unit for over 6 years.

During that time, he earned advanced practice approval from California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT) in physical agent modalities, namely in the use of neuromuscular electrical stimulation for remediation of motor control following neurological injuries such as stroke and brain injury.

Omid has also provided clinical instruction to University of Southern California (USC) students examining approaches to the assessment and remediation of motor control following upper motor neuron lesions

Omid has continued to build on his neurorehabilitation experience in private practice by providing therapeutic treatment and instruction to patients and their families in home and in the community, on restoring strength, coordination, range-of-motion, and function following varying neurological, neuromuscular, and neurodegenerative conditions.
